WFSU began a five-day, “Super Why!” summer reading camp Thursday, June 17 at Bond Elementary School. WFSU, a Public Broadcasting Service KIDS “Raising Readers” station, collaborated with teachers and volunteers to introduce approximately 20 pre-kindergarten through first-grade students to the cartoon “Super Why,” in an attempt to excite the student’s interest in reading. The five-day program begins at 7:30 a.m. with a breakfast and continues with various educational activities until 1 p.m. The camp also is being offered at Sabal Palm Elementary School, June 24-July 1 and at Oak Ridge Elementary School, July 15-22.
